Keep your heating on low if you’re spending long periods of time away from home, this will help to stop your pipes from freezing. Our plumbing contractors also advise keeping your thermostat programmed to keep you home at a steady temperature and boosting it in readiness for when your home.

Radiators

If your radiators are not warming up take some time to bleed them to release any trapped air. This is especially important as they will have been used infrequently over the spring and summer months. This quick task will allow them to warm up quicker and be more efficient.

Outside Tap

The outside tap is often forgotten about in the colder months but turning it off as autumn sets in will prevent it from freezing during the winter months.
